After the raw water is precipitated and filtered, the fresh water pumping unit in the Pump Room (today's Museum of Drinking Water) pressurizes the water and sends it to the water purification pool on Guanyinshan in Gongguan. By harnessing the power of gravity from the height difference, purified water flowed to customers throughout Taipei City. For this pipeline project, a cable car road was laid on the slope, and an electric cable car and manual labor was used to transport the pipes and the concrete and rebar needed for the construction of the water purification pond on Guanyinshan.

In order to avoid direct sunlight and temperature changes affecting the water quality, a cover and soil were incorporated into the design to shade and insulate the water from heat, and a cast iron ventilation tank was installed to ventilate and ventilate the pool to avoid internal air condensation.
