Taipei Water Festival Returns with a Big Splash! Free Admissions on First Two Days of the Festival!

There’s no better way to cool off in the summer than some water fun! Since its opening on May 20, the Water Country Park has attracted visitors of all ages to cool off from the hot summer heat. As of June 15 2023, over 20,000 people have visited to Taipei Water Park! Built on this great start, the highly anticipated "Taipei Water Festival" event that everyone has been eagerly looking forward to will take place from July 1st to August 27th. What’s more, the Taipei Water Park is offering free admission for the first two days starting from the opening day to invite everyone to have loads of water fun together in the summer!

According to the Taipei Water Department (TWD), this year’s Taipei Water Festival is themed on "Summer Water Fun, Let’s GO!". This year, there will be three major fun experiences for water play: First, the park celebrates the return of the Taipei Water Festival in the park and is offering visitors free admissions on the first two days starting from the opening day (July 1 and 2). On July 1, there will be exciting performances and a market fair featuring products and food from Gongguan businesses. While enjoying water activities, visitors can also participate in exciting taiko drum and magic performances, stroll through the fair for food and entertainment and play games at booths to win great prizes. Second, throughout the Taipei Water Festival period (from July 1st to August 27th), there will be a series of rich activities on every weekend and holiday, including performances by indigenous groups, discounts on tickets for the Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine's Day) and fun games and competitions. Last but not least, during the Taipei Water Festival period, in addition to the popular "Water Country Park" that will remain open to the public, the event will feature an exciting large inflatable water slide with a different monthly theme, allowing both children and adults to enjoy a refreshing summer.

The TWD has also pointed out that the admissions ticket is NT$80 for a full ticket and NT$40 for a concession ticket in the summer (July and August), offering a great bang for the buck! The park is also home to the "Museum of Drinking Water" and the "Guanyinshan Reservoir" and other century-old monuments and hidden gems to explore!
