Get ready for the vibrant "2024 Taipei Water Festival," kicking off this Saturday, June 29, at Taipei Water Park! Themed "Water Play, All Day," the festival offers free admission on opening day, featuring two thrilling inflatable water slides, a captivating cosplay runway show, a lively carnival atmosphere and exclusive limited edition gifts. It’s truly an event not to be missed! Running until September 1, the festival promises a refreshing summer celebration for people of all ages. 

The Taipei Water Department announced that the opening ceremony will officially commence at 11 AM. The Museum of Drinking Water has always been a popular spot for cosplayers and wedding photo shoots, so this year's opening includes a cosplay runway show and an exclusive sneak peek at the inflatable water slides, providing an unprecedented visual and sensory experience for the public During the festival, there will be two limited-time inflatable water slides (available from June 29 to July 14): the Clownfish Slide, suitable for children under junior high school age and the more thrilling 8-meter high, 30-meter long Coconut Grove Slide. Whether or not you're into water play, cosplay photoshoots or exploring the carnival, there's something fun for everyone!

Furthermore, starting at 10 AM on opening day, explore various carnival booths offering exclusive gifts. Children under 12 can receive a free snack pack and those who fill out a questionnaire can get an exclusive commemorative towel (while supplies last). There will also be various interactive booths, such as integrity education, invoice donation for gifts and water conservation experience trucks, combining education and entertainment to ensure everyone leaves with a smile from ear to ear.

The Taipei Water Department explained that this year’s carnival on opening day invites vendors from the NTU Gongguan area and night market stalls, including famous BBQ, shumai, cafes, the Comma Market, and food trucks for visitors to enjoy. According to the Taipei Water Department, to stimulate consumer traffic in local business districts, it has partnered with over 20 local businesses to offer exclusive festival coupons during the Taipei Water Festival. Visitors who enter the park and scan the provided QR code can access a variety of discounts and special offers. These include 12% off on banquet hall services with a ticket stub, a NT$200 voucher at outlet stores upon app download and membership registration and exclusive accommodation deals from newly opened hotels. The range of discounts spans desserts, snacks, accommodations and sports goods, ensuring a diverse selection of benefits that cater to different preferences.

The Taipei Water Department highlighted that this year's water festival introduces exclusive cosplay photography sessions for the first time ever, granting cosplayers access to the typically restricted "Guanyinshan Reservoir - Underground Water Palace" for capturing fabulous shots at this historic site. Moreover, every weekend in August will showcase performances by indigenous cultural and artistic groups.
