2025 ChillOut Festival Showcases the Unique Urban Spirit of Taipei Free Admission at Taipei Water Park from October 10–12, with Over 100 Gongguan Shops Offering Discounts
Jointly organized by the Taipei Water Department and PIPE Live Music, the 6th edition of the beloved ChillOut Festival returns to the Gongguan area from October 10 to 12 during the Double Ten Day (National Day) holiday period. This year, the event kicks off with a special pre-party performance by Golden Melody Best New Artist someshiit, setting the tone for a three-day celebration of music and creativity. Eight stages will be spread across diverse Taipei cityscapes—from riverside lawns and park greens to night markets, museums, forest slopes, under-bridge plazas, lakeside decks, and indoor live venues—bringing out the city’s vibrant urban character. Taipei Water Department Commissioner Fan Huan-ying remarked that there’s no need to travel far to enjoy great music—“right here in Taipei, you can feel it all!” He added that this year’s lineup, featuring first-time collaborations between domestic and international artists, aims to create a “Taipei-style mini Fuji Rock Festival.” Festival curator Jacklon Tung highlighted the impressive lineup of female artists, including Mola Oddity led by singer Amber Kuo, crossover diva 9m88, R&B powerhouse Karencici, genre-bending hip-hop artist Hsien Ching, and dual Golden Melody and Golden Indie nominee Andr, alongside LÜCY and JUD Chen, a true showcase of the creative force driving Taiwan’s new generation of women in music. In tune with Taipei’s diverse and vibrant lifestyle, the festival will feature a powerful daily lineup of both local and international artists, including exclusive 75-minute headlining performances. On October 11, audiences can look forward to Mola Oddity, Japan’s poetic rapper KID FRESINO, Andr, and Brit-rock duo JADE, with the night culminating in electrifying sets by Cornelius, the legendary pioneer of Shibuya-kei, and VOOID, a cult favorite among indie fans. On October 12, the stage will come alive with Japan’s breakout band Raisan, alongside Karencici, Hsien Ching, and the explosive THAT’S MY SHHH. The twin main stages will be headlined by 9m88 and Green!Eyes, the latter debuting their first-ever eight-member full ensemble. The Taipei Water Department added that more than 150 shops and night market vendors across the Gongguan area will participate with special discounts and prize draws. Over 100 creative and food market stalls will also join the festival grounds, offering visitors the perfect mix of music, food, and shopping. Admission to the Taipei Water Park will be free from October 10 to 12, and visitors can also take part in free guided heritage tours of the century-old Guanyinshan Reservoir on October 11 and 12. This year’s festival also introduces the new “Chill Zone,” where visitors can play their favorite music, enjoy on-site nail art, coffee, perfume and tarot experiences, and interactive games. Free ChillOut Festival maps will be available on-site, and full event details can be found via the official ChillOut LINE account. The Taipei Water Department noted that four of the festival’s stages will offer free performances, featuring an exciting lineup of artists such as Osean, The Shine&Shine&Shine&Shine, Easy Weeds, SoulFa, Ahh G, Suhf, L8ching, Bremen Entertainment Inc., Sandwich Fail, Huan Huan, Ill Mo, Lily Chou-Chou Lied, FunkyMo, Hue, and Malpaca, among many others. Winners of the Endless Flow! 2025 Cypher Tournament from across Taiwan—including university and high school crews from Tamkang University, Chihlee University of Technology, National Chengchi University, Yuan Ze University, United Education International School, National University of Kaohsiung, Tunghai University, Feng Chia University, National Tsing Hua University, Central Police University, An Kang High School, University of Taipei, Nanshan High School, China Medical University, and Yongchun High School—will also perform at the ChillOut Festival, bringing youthful energy and creativity to the stage.
