Deputy Mayor Lee Shu-chuan Joins Taipei Residents to Celebrate the Gongguan Christmas Season

The Taipei Water Department hosted the highlight event of the "2024 Gongguan Christmas Season" today (21st) at the Taipei Water Park, featuring the festive "Encounter at the Museum of Drinking Water: Centennial Melody Christmas Concert." Deputy Mayor Lee Shu-chuan donned a festive Santa hat and joined residents of all ages to celebrate. The evening was filled with enchanting performances by the National Taiwan Normal University Win Band led by Professor Yeh Shu-han and lively dance activities led by the beloved children’s entertainer, BoboPopo, creating a joyous atmosphere to usher in the holiday spirit.


The Taipei Water Department shared that Deputy Mayor Lee, along with Councilor Kuo Chao-yen, local community leaders, the head of the Gongguan Shopping District Development and Promotion Association, and other distinguished guests, gathered at the Museum of Drinking Water's newly installed Azalea Direct Drinking Fountain. Together, they toasted Taipei’s exceptional water quality while promoting direct drinking initiatives. Following this, Deputy Mayor Lee joined event host BoboPopo and children for lively interactions at the event stage and enjoyed the enchanting Encounter at the Museum of Drinking Water: Centennial Melody Christmas Concert, performed by Professor Yeh Shu-han and the NTNU Wind Band. By 6 p.m., the Taipei Water Park had welcomed over 4,000 visitors celebrating the festive season.


According to the Taipei Water Department, the Gongguan Christmas Season activities will continue until December 31, offering various decorative light displays and a series of events to accompany citizens and friends through the Christmas and year-end season.
